Don't laugh but does anyone have any experience with these LED bulbs from this company?

https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehi...=775&year=2000

Once you click the link, click high beam, low beam. If too complicated, I will just swap the lenses from the 03 and buy the new bulbs that were recommended.

I have an 05 with piaa extreme white plus bulbs that are quite nice.

I also have an 04 with stock type bulbs and it's still decent.

The 05 is better, I assume part of it'd the light, part bulb.

Once the road is wet it sucks alot of either of the trucks output.

Anyone else use Piaas?

I tried several different bulbs in my 05. I drive roads in the middle of MT and there are NO lights except headlights.

For me, I would rate them as

#1 PIAA
#2 Phillips Extreme Vision
#3 Silverstar Ultras-a noticeable step down.

There was not much difference between the PIAA and Phillips

I tried LED bulbs--don't. Our stock headlight housings have reflectors. LED lights are really bright but unfortunately they produce a tremendous amount of glare and blind other drivers. I could see less with the LED's because their beam pattern is all over the place despite some manufacturers' claims. 3 day trial and they were gone. There is a thread where we discussed this one time. The consensus was that they were technically illegal.

Don't think I remember that thread although I'm sure I posted in it. I was looking at LEDs for the rig for a bit so I'm glad everyone agreed they were not for us before I spent the coin Thanks again everyone!!!

I am going to pull the lenses out of the 03 and switch them over and buy new bulbs. I don't want to modify anything. I am looking for plug-n-play. Any tips for the brightest bulbs that are reasonably priced?
.
Crazy, May I ask, What has changed ?? Noticing you have owned the X for 16 years. Why now ?? Do you know what bulbs you are running currently ??

LEGAL DISCLAIMER:
You may notice on the package of the silver stars they say they are the BRIGHTEST down road. For some reason, I feel I must tell you : THIS IS an advertising gimmick. Further reading on the package will disclose that this is the BRIGHTEST bulb that Silvania makes. I am embarrassed & ashamed that any Co. would actually stoop to such levels just to sell a product, BUT, what you gonna do

Aren't 03-05 lens the same ???

If your driving situation allows for it (lots of rural roads) I believe the Bright Box would remedy that issue...Easy to test

Optometrist said "its all downhill after 40".

Worth noting, Proctologist said "30".
I was in no position to argue.

I have these...the superbright were not available when I purchased mine. Going on a year and a half maybe 2 years having them.

This is a big part of it. My bulbs are original. I've had several long trips recently and just realized how bad my lights were. You heard the story about how to boil a frog. You don't throw him into hot water, you put him in a pot of cold water and turn the flame on. Well, that was my headlights. I didn't see how bad they were getting until I was already there.

OK..I think you'll be very happy with the 03 lens & any of the bulbs you chose. As I have stated the whiter light works well for me.
