The first time it was brought in the max boost it made was 9lbs... im sure 50 is not out of grasp now...
I bet my tiny 160s eat more oil than the hybrids though...

Wow nick,I am glad you got that figured out. Sorry I wasn't much help, though I was out here rolling it around in my head.
Sounds like it works pretty well to me. The way you state it sure sounds very much similar to how mine drives tho I have not towed with the new stix.
Looking forward to a tow report. I am curious to see how The 369 in my closet works for it's owner.

Yeah I was was almost a sleepless a couple nights. I still don't have an explanation for the PCM readouts without the chip or the no start condition...but i will get to the bottom of it sooner or later...
I need to mention this too. GH tuning came through and will overnight a new one due to the mixup. I will be going through these guys from here on out as they were pretty darn responsive and made the situation right. I have used DP before, and comparably I was pretty impressed on how clean it runs against others tunes. I will only be able to see how the heat is after this weekend.. It runs cleaner on the smoke side than some stock 7.3s run.
Curious to see what you say, I need to go check out your thread again... I will do that later today.
Oh boy! No comment!

The 369 isn't mine tho. I just get to finger it for a while till it goes to it's forever home lol
My next move is a trans. My tow tune will destroy it easily if I let it. Stick to my stock tune :-( sad sad sad

Well I was hoping not have to dig this back up but the truck ran phenominally while towing. When he really laid into it on a stock tune he was able to hit the 1250 mark and barely creep over it. Truck pulled terrific out, and unfortunately not so well back.
At started up leaving the track there was a bit more white on a cold start than expected and previously seen, made it about 10 miles and good god i thought the truck lit fire. There was an incredibly loud diesel clack on decel, and when back on the gas to get to a safe spot on the side of the road, it went away but whited out the highway.... Pulled over immediately and shut it down. It was hydro locked in a matter of minutes... So I'm pretty damn sure there is a cracked injector tip imbedded in a piston.... if that is the case the motor comes out this week. Completely rebuilt properly/ One thing after another, its been a bit heart breaking as I have never seen this many issues with one truck.... I'm hoping to go out and find its cracked and not brokenn off... we will see if a few hours... I doubt it judging by the fuel amount it dumped.
Oil looked super clean but had a hint of diesel, coolant was in check... I would have rather taken blown head gaskets over a snapped tip....
EFF!

So the good news is we are not yanking the motor... I called #7 to be the problem child before we took it apart and once again, it was #7. I do not know why but more often than not #7 (yes not the LL #8) always seems to be the crispiest injector pulled on any set.
Cup is being replaced, injectors into PIS to have them looked over as everything that was on this truck prior to him buying it has failed. Literally everything installed by the PO. I want to make sure there isn't any internal damage to these.
I am taking the blame on this one though. #7 was torqued and seated properly, however it looked like the washer did not seat in the cup properly. lower ring finally toasted out and just filled it with fuel. Piston looks good with a scope and so does everything else...... I feel we got pretty darn lucky! I have no problem re ringing all 8 and reinstalling on my time after finding that...
He was ready to build a pretty bomb proof 7.3 and had the components in the cart and came over ready to pull the motor. So luckily we got to laugh a bit and drink a beer once we found that. Lucky this was a friend also, this is the first set of injectors I have ever done that had issue... and I felt pretty embarrassed as well...
I built my own cup cleaning brushes once again out of bore cleaning tools for rifles... I have used these for years until I got a set of these off ebay for 15.00 shipped... I got to try them out yesterday and the pilot tip makes it so much easier to use. You know that moment you tell yourself you should have bought a set years ago, yes it was one of those moments.
Fuel Injector Sleeve Brush Set 303-DS110 D94T-9000-D ZTSE4304
Totally worth the money if you can find a set cheap!
