Nice! Neatly done. Looks like a reduction gear starter?

One thing wondering (since you have high rez photos) on my Y there is a ground strap connection from engine block to firewall, on the block it connects on a boss in the vicinity of the distributor and the loom. No worries, just curious.

Tedster9,
If you look at the third picture near the bottom is a woven ground strap. It goes from the block to one of the accerator pedal bell crank bolts.
And yes I have a gear reduction starter. I really like it. It drives the flywheel from the engine side. It works well with my Flat-O bellhousing and C4.

Sorry Abe for wandering off point a bit.

Thanks Bill, saw that, are there two different Carpenters?? Searched the dennis-carpenter.com website three ways to Sunday for those and came up with nada. I need four but don't want to spend fitty bucks + postage.

Return with us now, to the thrilling previously scheduled topic.

Carpenter made a deal with Ford, even though not a franchised new car dealer, can buy parts direct that FoMoCo is planning to obsolete. But many of these parts do not appear in his catalogs.

Notice that I italicize NOS OBSOLETE for this reason. These parts are listed on PartsVoice.com and/or rearcounter.com .. so when you call, whoever answers the phone may or may not know this.

Pic: rearcounter reference.
