Auto climate control
Grabbed the Logicon (Logic Controller, aka control box) today along with a one-button trip computer & compass/mirror setup from a 01 Expedition. Bit of advice: Be incredibly careful when removing the mirror or this picture will happen. Sliced my finger open when it suddenly came loose, taking a piece of windshield with it. Fortunately, the good folks at PickNPull doctored me up for free.
Anyway, the 01 donor truck was missing the sun sensor & inside air temp sensors, so I got the pigtails for them while there. It was the only one with the digital logic on I could find (they are all the same). But the sensors are pretty common tho. I'll report back with part numbers later.
You WILL need the blend door actuator (5 wires) & blower motor controller from the donor truck. They are different from the analog version. I didn't have enough time to extract them, due to getting an engine for a friend and not coming properly equipped or educated enough. Next time Gadget, next time...
While at another salvage yard, I spotted a 98 Expedition which has the two-button trip computer. Next time I'm there, I'll grab it too. Another 98 Expedition with sunroof had the two-button mini console trip computer too.
97-98: two button trip computer/compass
99+: one button trip computer/compass
Today I went back to the junkyard and resumed progress on the Logic one's donor truck, a 99 Expedition Eddie Bauer edition. Someone pre-pulled the fully optioned overhead console with 2 button trip computer (00+ base models are 1button) so I grabbed it in exchange for the DOA one I got last time. 2 hours later, I have the dash spun aside and removed the Inside Air Temp sensor (with duct line), Blower Motor Controller, compass sensor, and the blend door actuator, all with undamaged wiring pigtails attached. Please note that I was not very careful and ended up removing the actuator as Jeremy Clarkson would (Hammer time). I do not condone destroying a heater box, but I was on an expedited timetable due to my cat getting heat stroke.
Overhead Console trip computer booted right up on the first try, showing "98 miles to empty". Details on part numbers for cross-referencing will follow tomorrow morning when I get a chance to get pictures uploaded

I could not easily identify the C928 trip computer connector offhand, but it is basically a 20-pin version of the Heater Blend Door Actuator connector (8 pins, 5 in use). I know I've seen this style before somewhere, just can't place it offhand to pin down a part number, source or manufacturer. Delphi Micropack maybe?
Here's a picture of it:
Also, I want to mention that the Ambient Temperature Sensor cross-references to a TON of different numbers. This list is not all-inclusive (it lacks the Hyundai/Kia info for 00-06 XG350/Optima/Sonata) but will help one well in the junkyard:

This is hell.
To wire the overhead console, you have to tap into Pin 43 at the PCM. As my truck was NOT wired for the console, I opted to tap it directly at the PCM. Battery tray comes out, PCM unplugged (10mm socket needed) and harness de-taped. This majorly sucked to do, but I was able to cut and splice it successfully. Ran it out to a 2-pin Metripack connector to make the rest of the run easier.
Hopped back inside, disassembled the dashboard and spliced into the VSS and Fuel level signal behind the cluster and Backlight right off of the Main Light Switch, running all of them to a 10-pin Metripack connector stashed beside the steering column. Also got the ground from the kick panel lower ground bolt (I think G200?, someone correct me on this). Next comes the AWD Low signal from the transfer case (beside the gauge cluster) and running everything up the A-pillar tomorrow
When I get my phone fixed (flex cable failing) next week, I'll get pictures of everything. But for this weekend, wiring shall continue.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I apologize for the lack of pictures, the replacement flex cable for my phone was DOA, so I bought a parts phone to transplant the upper half from as soon as my friend Matt gets back this weekend. Pics will follow then.

I don't think I would touch that with a ten foot pole . Without a donor vehicle that it was known to work before it's demise
