'98 EB compass problem

'98 EB compass problem

Had the winshield replaced and the compass is giving an incorrect position. Tried to change the zone, but this will not display on the trip computer. Any suggestions?

Your compass needs to be re-calibrated. There is a reset button on the bottom of the compass. It will explian this in your owners manual. You will need to press the reset button on the bottom and then drive around in a circle in an empty parking lot to re-calibrate the compass.

"4by4" thanks for the reply, I've tried to calibrate and it does go through a process, but I beleive the unit was unplugged when the windshield was replaced, thus the ZONE needs to be reset, however I can not get ZONE to display on the trip computer, to adjust it or confirm what zone it is currently in.

Looks like it will have to be replaced.
