Headlight Buzzer?

I'm a chronically leave on my headlights and all my neighbors are tired of having to tell me I've left them on. So I'm trying to hook up a buzzer to remedy the problem and can't figure it out. Maybe one of you FTF'ers has experience with this? According to what little I can find on line, it seems I can hook up my piezo buzzer red to the lights fuze and black to ignition? Any help will be greatly appreciated! I've attached a pic of my fuze box ('64 F100) and the piezo...

My thought is red to headlight circuit and black to a oil pressure switch for an idiot light. When you shut the engine off the switch will ground and set off your buzzer. If you hook to ignition, I guess you might need a relay that would ground when the ignition is off and open when ignition is on

I'll second IICAP. You want your power to come from the light circuit (probably parking lights), but the ground should only be available with the key off... IICAP hit the two easiest ways to do that.

I was thinking splice the positive to the headlight output from the switch, and connect the negative to a door switch like this.

One thing to remember, when the headlights come on, the parkers go off. SO if you connect the switch to say the headlights, it won't activate for the park lights and vice versa.

They used to sell buzzer kits for this purpose. You might try looking for them. You may be able to see how they do it. I put one in a gmc blazer I had but that was almost 20 yrs ago.

Thanks for all the helpful replies! I guess what I'm in need of here is a little hand holding. You say red to headlight, is the light circuit fuse the one at the top of my picture? Which end does red go to? If I had that, then I can find the other connection through process of elimination. By the way, this buzzer is LOUD. It's going to train me to always turn off the lights or get blasted!
