Towing capacity of 66 f100 352 3spd lwb
I'm restoring a '66 f100 with my dad, and circumstances are leading me to move into an Airstream trailer. My question is this: will my truck haul my trailer? I think the weight of the trailer is gonna be around 9,000lbs, and don't know the tongue weight. We are planning on putting a frame hitch on the truck, but he thinks I should get a newer, bigger truck. I hate to get rid of a project like this one when it's almost done though.
truck is a '66 f100 with a 352 and 3spd trans with overload shocks on rear end
thanks

Christina Welcome to and the Slicks Forum.
Your truck should pull the trailer just fine, here is a photo of mine with a 4wd on the trailer. While these ol boys are work horses, your dad's wisdom is worthy. A newer truck can be much more comfortable, more room, better in many ways for trips.
