96 F150 Front Brake rotors
on my 96 2WD F150 I ordered new rotors, everyone said it was the basic rotor with the 5 holes, (on Ebay) about $50 pair, so I order a pair without ever taking the old ones off, on this 96 the rotors that came off have the lug studs and the bearing race as part of the whole rotor assembly, do I have a rare setup? I cannot bring up that type rotor doing a search for a 2WD 96, what's going on?

I assume you are saying there is no way the rotor separates from the hub assembly? I remember when I needed a new rotor hub assembly for my '88 F-150 4X4, I went to NAPA and told them what I needed. They came out with just the rotor, I told them I couldn't see where mine separated between the rotor and hub. I had my old assembly with me, so I took it in, they took one look at it and knew right away what I needed.
I suggest you go the rockauto site, they show them with and without the hub.

From my 1996 Ford Service Manual:
For F-150, F-250 and F-350 4x2 vehicles, the front disc brake hub and rotor (1102) is an integrally cast assembly.
The F-150, F-250 and F-350 4x4 vehicles, Bronco and F-Super Duty vehicles utilize separate wheel hubs (1104) and front disc brake rotors (1125), which are bolted together.

In September of 2015, I ordered new rotors from Amazon for my '95 2WD F-150, and according to Amazon they were the proper fit for my truck. Well... the brakes weren't a high priority (lol) since the truck isn't my daily driver, and they were just a little warped... so I didn't get around to them until this morning. Imagine my surprise, when I pulled the wheels off and found that the hub was built into the rotor! The ones that Amazon sent me were for a 4WD I assume, and will not work. So I messaged Amazon, not very hopeful since it has been TWO YEARS since I ordered them, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I got a call a short time later, from a representative wanting to know what the issue is... I explained the situation, and he offered a full refund! So now I get to ship off the new/wrong rotors, and order a set of the correct ones (hopefully). Probably helps that I hardly ever return anything to Amazon, and I order A LOT of stuff from them.

4x4 F150 rotors mount and look wayyyyy different from the 4x2 (aka rwd) F150 rotors. Since you own a 96 F150 2WD, your front rotor, hub is an integral assembly with races I think already pounded in.
If you got rotors from ebay, if they were listed as 2WD then you have grounds for a 'not as described claim', not to mention a clueless seller who likely found them at an estate sale.
