Shifting problems are back

Hey guys. So I have a 1995 f350 5.8 4x4 e4od. I had shifting issues for a while and it was mainly from 1st to 2nd. At about 10mph it shifts really hard. The thing that is confusing me is that it goes away randomly then comes back. It hadn't done it for 2 weeks and then all of a sudden it's back. I checked the 2 connectors on each side of the tranny (accessed from the floor pan) cleaned them both and they seem fine. But I am getting codes 626 629 key on engine off. And 628 continuous. It just doesn't make any sense why it would be stop shifting hard and then randomly go back to the hard shifting. I did not however run the codes while it wasn't shifting hard so I don't know if it was still getting those codes while I wasn't having issues. So.. Does anyone have any ideas what u should do? I do have a parts truck with a good tranny (so I was told).
