94 F-350 E4OD rebuild/still has shifting problems

I have a 94 F350 with the e4od. The transmission doesn't shift properly unless I let up on the gas before each gear , then it shifts nice. The trany is totally rebuilt. My tranny guy is confident the trans mechanically sound he even took it back out and went through it again. I am on here just tring to get input to pass on to him .Thanks for any info you can share.

He came up with no codes. He took the old codes off . I do wonder if he is using the right code reader though. Any suggestions?

You can scan for codes yourself, look here:
EEC IV Self Test hookup

From what I understand there are three sensors, the Vss, TPS, and MLPS and they are what control what your tranny does, if one sends a bad or no signal it will throw your shifting out of whack. I have a similar problem with my tranny that I've been trying to figure out right now, waiting for parts.

I noticed the speedometer is irratic (slightly between 35 and 45 mph) how do I start to test it and what voltage am I looking for and do you have to take the dash off?
