Considering N-Fab steps

Considering N-Fab steps
I am considering the cab length N-Fab steps for my 97.
Now I know everyone says that the N-Fab steps are mounted poorly for our trucks. But I have not heard of anything bad ever happening from anyone that has used them. And at 140lbs, I don't think I'm heavy enough to hurt anything.
I would obviously prefer frame mounted, but there is not a lot of options for those.
I used to have nerf bars, and wasn't really a fan of those and I don't care for the hoops steps, which is why I'm looking at N-Fab.
If anyone here has ever had any problems with them please let me know.

I have never seen how the N-Fabs out in person but bolting to the flimsy rocker is not the best idea.
I just wish they would make frame mounted ones like these
