Okay so I'm new to this forum thing so here it goes
I have a 1994 ford f350 turbo idi I have been having some transmission problems and also the overdrive light has been flashing and it's like the truck goes into "limp mode" after it gets warmed up, but if I shut the truck off and start it back up it runs fine for a min or two then goes bock into "limp mode" truck has no power, idols real ruff.
So I disconnected the two batteries and let them sit for 5 mins, and now the overdrive light isn't flashing at me anymore but the truck still runs like crap and doesn't idol right still.
so I had the transmission rebuilt (turns out the transmission was junk anyways) so in rebuilding the transmission it has all brand new parts inside and out, I put the transmission in and the truck is still doing the same thing.
So part of me thinks maybe it may be the TPS sensor but I really don't know a whole lot about the E40D transmissions,
I had a sporadic flashing O/D light and bad shifting, after my tach finally stopped registering under 1k I switched out the sensor and haven't had any problems since.

It could be the TPS. It could be the VSS. It could be the TRS. It could be the TOT. It could be.....about 50 other things. How would you know what the problem is? Read the codes! They will tell you what the computer is seeing that isn't right. Then you'll know where to start looking instead of just buying parts and rebuilding transmissions.

Yea tach seems to be working just fine, just trying to figure out if it could be any other problems
