Tire recommendations

Weigh a cooper tire and a same size goodyear tire and you'll be convinced.

convinced of what? Which is heavier? Goodyear? more rubber, thicker tread and sidewall? I'm confused.

I found that the Goodyear tires did great for a couple of years and then the rubber turned hard and they lost traction, both dry and wet.

Cooper tires are made in the USA in Ohio and Georgia. Cooper makes a great tire for the money. Goodyear is making some of their tires in Mexico, thus not supporting american industry. Support this country!! We support the other enough already!!!

That's a pretty convincing arguement there BigShelby. I have been unemployed for 6 months. I just got a job a month ago in manufacturing, and we just had a big meeting talking about what we have to do to keep our jobs from going overseas. I am really starting to wake up and think seriously about the whole buy American thing....Sounds like people here like the Coopers.....and they're made in USA.....That's what's goin on my truck when the time comes.

Of course I am tapped into a good American truck....now if I can just find a good American made car or minivan for my wife.....She REALLY wants and Excursion, but unfortuantely that is not quite in the budget.

Hmmmm. Cooper seems to be comming on strong. I'll have to see what sizes are available.

15X8 rims seem to be derigor for performance street use.

15x8's with 4" backspacing is what's on my truck, along with a set of cooper discover tires for summer.

winter i run stock rims with cooper retreads. 235/75r15's all year round
