Need a new water pump
So my 1993 non turbo 7.3 needs a new water pump. For the last twenty years, I've been using the Auto-Zone brand. I'm likely keeping this truck at least 5 years and I will be using it for trips that are 6-7hrs one way. Any thoughts on that? While I have the pump out I am going to either clean/re-core or replace the radiator(looks pretty grungy inside). If I replace it, it will likely be with one the "Radiator Express" brands. I have heard that the low cost radiators like described above may have the core thickness but the cores have less, but larger water passages and don't cool as well as OEM. Any thoughts on that?

I got a cheap one from ebay, lasted 6k mile, I bought my last one from napa, I don't know why but napa parts seem to last longer for me. To date the only part that i got from napa that failed prematurely was a parking brake cable. I've returned a half dozen starters to autozone/advanced and just as many life time brake calipers. I'm sure the same places rebuild them all but for whatever reason napas work out better for me. I've also always gotten the correct part for napa when I order them. If it's a special part, it's like 50/50 at autozone/advance.
