Since I'm upgrading to 35" bfg km2's how do I go about recalibrating the speedometer? Can it only be done with a programmer? The edge that fried my pcm, bcm, column key sensor, and pats module is somewhere in storage, too scared to use it again.
The Autel MaxiSys should have the capabilities to change it. Whether it wants tire size OR revolutions per mile I don't know, but that's easy enough to find out. Calculating revs/mile, Diameter x pi to find circumference. Then 63,360 / circumference to find revolutions per mile.
Until you figure it out, you'll be off by about 6mph at 70. The discrepancy is a direct relationship to speed, so the slower you're going the less 'slow' the speedometer will read.
