I can't imagine the 08 uses anything special, it should just be a digital VSS. Superlift may not have had the opportunity to try one on an 08 yet is my bet to why it's not in the app guide yet.
If hypertech is using a specmo style box, it would stand to reason that the truspeed will work as well. If your talking about a tuner, if one has the vss cracked, they all should. Before you spend a couple hundred dollars on one, check in to the tuners. For a bit more money you can get a lot more use out of the tuner.
I'm actually waiting for Banks to release their tuner for the '08 SD, seems they have had issues with the prototype. I was wondering if there was a cheap solution while I wait. Would make a nice complement for the Banks intake and mufflers I just got.
The Superlift TruSpeed works great. I installed one on my '01 and after a little tweaking, I managed to get my speedo to read exact with my GPS. I'd just give Superlift a call.
The SUPERLIFT TRUSPEED™ SPEED SENSOR RECALIBRATOR is not listed for the 2008, but the Merlin Speed Wizard is. I run the TRUSPEED™ SPEED SENSOR RECALIBRATOR in my 2001 too. I set it up with a gps. It made a difference in correcting the shift points with the 35's.
Superchips makes a unit called the Tirepaq that corrects the speedo too.
Tirepaq is different from the specmo boxes like granatelli's and the truspeed. The tirepaq is a stripped down tuner, for a fee you can have it updated to full tuner.
