1978 F150 351M Vacuum Diagram Needed
I have been scouring Google and searching the various diagrams listed through the Ford Enthusiasts website and I am at a loss here. *mutters under breath* California and their damn smog laws..
I have been noticing many of the pictures that other individuals have listed show three different Ported Vacuum Switches (I believe that is what they are called). I have seen a couple other diagrams on the forums that have a two-ported Ported Vacuum Switch with a second Ported Vacuum Switch with four port attachments.
Here are some attachments of what my current vacuum lines look like...I know it's a mess but not as bad as before. But I think I goofed it up somewhere.
Don't mind the sand/dirt on the motor...I tend to take it muddin or driving through rivers. It is my daily driver and my toy when not working or attending college.
As a side note, before anyone mentions it, my truck does NOT have any diagrams of any sort under the hood. Only sticker I could find was the one on the driver side valve cover.
Back of the carburetor. Hose closest the blue kickdown is connected to a steal pipe that leads to the driver side PCV Valve.
Charcoal (?) canister
Front of Carb. Left-most hose goes down to the Charcoal canister. Right hose goes to the horizontal ported vacuum switch. Underneath the spark plug wire is a capped off manifold nipple. I am sure that needs to be plugged into something.
Horizontal ported vacuum switch is a three-port. Blue is a two-port.
Another angle of the ported vacuum switches.
EGR vacuum setup and tree on the backside of the intake manifold/block.
Blue/White vacuum diaphragm - truck only had two when I got it.
