Today I was showing one of my family friends my truck and he told me I am missing a vacuum line. I also found out I have a Edlebrock Performer Series 1406 Model 600CFM. My dad tells me the same thing, and that I should have a line going from that into the back of my carburetor.
(On this image below, should there be a line on this nipple...?
The truck did run worse the last time I drove it, I attributed this to low quality fuel, as it was back firing as soon as I let up off the gas.
Also, anyone know what these casting numbers on my exhaust manifold mean?
That is for the vacuum advance, for an edelbrock I believe the timed port is the one that is a little bit higher on the carb. Like on your first picture below the "Edelbrock" logo you see three capped vacuum ports. There is one large port for the PCV and then two smaller ones; one is located higher than the other. The lower one is full manifold vacuum and the higher one is ported. (timed/ported) Ported should do just fine for you, some people (myself included) use full manifold vacuum with aftermarket cams.
