What is this part between the horn and the vacuum resevoir? What is the actual name of the black ball vacuum resevoir?

I am going to take a wild guess and say this is a diesel pickup? If so, that is your low vacuum warning switch.

Don't know what the device in the middle is, but the other is officially known as a vacuum tank, aka vacuum reservoir.
