Sct livewire help.
Okay so I just bought a unlocked older sct livewire off a guy that had it on a 05 f250. I have a 07 f250.
I was checking it out and I noticed that under custom tunes it had a street, extreme street, and a extreme x. Would I be able to run these tunes on my truck?
Another thing that really bobbled my mind was that I thought these came with several canned tunes. When I hooked it up and went to pre-loaded tunes it went through the process and everything and said downloading tune and then completed, yet I didn't have a chance to pick the tune. Then what really through me off is I tried to start my truck and it would try to turn over but wouldn't start. So I went to return to stock right away and then it started and is fine. So I figured I better get some help with this first b4 I do anything else. Thanks .

The "downloading" of the tune you mentioned was the unit downloading your stock programming from the truck to the unit. It has to do this in order to save your stock file so that you can return it to stock later, otherwise you would have no stock file to upload to your truck! Also sounds like the tunes mentioned are custom and not canned, either way I would not run the other guys custom tunes as who knows what they were engineered for? Could be disaster for your truck if his was significantly modded differently from yours. Stick with the canned tunes and remove the custom tunes from the programmer so there's no temptation for you to "try out".

Thanks for the reply so I figured out where the canned tunes are at you have to go in to adjust settings to choose from the list of them the thing is when I try to load one of the can tunes on my truck it would not start so I'm waiting back to hear from SCT once they look at my stock programming I'm going to delete the custom tunes and put my own custom tunes on there. One thing I don't understand is that I had my truck flash back to stock but it still seems to have more power than a normal 6.0 and will still be a good bit of black smoke. Do I have to worry about the tunes being stacked if I get a custom tune from innovative diesel or would automatically pull that off

Those tunes are most likely from innovative diesel. I run his Street tune daily. Lots of guys run his Xtreme Street tune daily

Okay so this is what I figured out. I got my own custom tunes from i.d. as far as the canned tunes on the live wire
Sct tells me my stock program is not actually stock and this is why my truck won't start when I load one of them. The thing I don't understand is I just paid ford 2 months ago to flash me back to stock.. is there a way it didn't go back to stock??? I don't understand this... anyone have a clue here??
