Is this cam still useable?
A guy on a Mustang board I go on offered me his Ford Racing hot rod cams out of his car (4.6 3V) after his shop pulled them out to swap them for some other cams.
He sent me this picture today- would this still be OK, considering that it's a roller cam?

I agree with six . the scratches don't look deep enough to cause any wear issues or possible oil pressure problems. Plus the 4.6 i had in my bird was tough as nails and it seemingly couldn't be hurt . the electronics and the car itself gave out before it did . it had used pi cams swapped into it ....
