02 X too loud

02 X too loud

I bought an 02 X V10 a couple days ago. The exhaust is way too loud because the guy cut off the Cats. It has headers then straight back to the stock looking muffler. Would a resonator between help any? If so what do you suggest? Trying to get close to quiet stock sound without spending a fortune replacing Cats. Also , I have the rear egr sensor plug hanging, should I get a dummy sensor for it?
If this is already in another forum, sorry, please point me there.

Go buy a set of universal cats and have a muffler shop weld them in. Any device.. a cat or resonator will dampen the sound and reduce in-cab droning.
