building your own

What type of pipe should I use, I plan to build my own from scratch.

14 gauge galvanized coated steel or 16 gauge stainless

Which is easier to weld? Don't have a way to bend it.

Either......with galvanized pipe, you have to grind/remove the gal. coating....toxic gases, then just spray after you done with a high temp paint or gal. spray (spray can).
