Power steering box

Hi. I wanted to use the 400 series box from CPP but was told that it would not work in my 49 F1. I thought that the pitman arm shaft would be to short if you added a spacer to extend the box in from the frame. I see from Oscajo that it will work with a spacer, that is good to know. I used the 94620-4852 Toyota steering kit but had to modify the bracket. You might have clearance problems with the motor you are going to install, also with your new headers so be aware of that. I elongated the hole in the floorboard for the steering column up approx. 1/2" to make a better fit and less angle on the u-joint.
