A little older, a little wiser, and knowing what you want to get out of life really helps.

First wife was 20 years of living hell.

I was ready to marry this wife after our first date, something just clicked instantly. Funny thing is she called her mother on the way home from our first date and said this is the man I am going to marry. My life has been nothing but bliss since we have been together. She is my forever love.

Got some great news at work today. It seems they are consolidating and moving folks around in the building I work at. They are moving our section down the hall but the space has one less desk space than we have people. SO they might be letting me work out of an office in Marietta instead of here at Ft Benning. Marietta is only 52 miles from home, I could take my motorhome back home and commute home every night!!! Got my fingers crossed !!!

Just because I go to work, doesn't mean I do work

I went to the parts store and got all the stuff to do a good tune up and oil change on the Jag this weekend. I also got tune up stuff for the daughters mustang. I have someone coming to buy the Grand Am on Saturday morning so I have to get busy fixing the Jag and get a tag. Not going to rush it and just drive the Lightning till I get it fixed.

I went back a studied them some more. He keep the vent windows and they are still functional. He just added a plate to the corner. He riveted the plate on. Road test at 70 said there was no vibration.

I will say I asked all the hard questions after a year of dating and being transparent with my now wife has help me learn that no one is perfect and no one is going to check every box on your list but if shes 85% better tie that one down!

All women are crazy it's just how much craziness your willing to deal with.

Of course there are some guys that are pretty far out there too. My 15 yo daughter has told me about some real nutty ones she has delt with.

Is that how you would want it? Easy enough. Id probably weld it on, but if painting is an issue, riveting aint bad at all.

Thought I was going to finish up the bed panel today. That was before my HF da sander died. So and hour drive to Macon and hour drive back to swap it out. Just going to rattle can it for now.

If I can find a set of those mirrors in the JY I do that mod prior to final paint. Also looking for a visor.

My JY list so far:mirrors and hydro boost brakes

Retired On Active Duty !!

All the t's have been crossed and the i's dotted and I start working out of the National Guard Armory in Cedartown GA on the 29th of February!!! Thats less than a 30 minute drive from my house!!!

Everybody is excited that I will be home everynight. We have not had a normal home life for about the past 4 1/2 years as I was either working out of town or deployed somewhere. I have mandatory retirement class all next week so I plan on driving the motorhome back to the house next weekend!!!

I will still have to come to Ft Benning on occasions because all my appointments and stuff will be here, but I will not have to be here manning a desk everyday.
