Hello Frustrated, welcome to the forums.
For starters, please do not type in all caps. It's not only difficult to read, but is considered yelling, which can be taken as rude.
Also, this has nothing to do with the engine, so I'm moving it to the appropriate forum.
I apologize for the all caps and I'm not the best at this sort of thing, in fact my first try at a forum. I am however frustrated and would appreciate any help I can get. All I did was take off the shift control, to drill and put in drill bit pin. I have it back in and it will not drop into reverse. I have 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th. Any advice helps. Thank you in advance.

The reverse idler gear can slide (probably backwards in this case) and though you were able to line up the two other forks, u may have missed the slot on the reverse idler. The third fork (which is a single arm) controls the sliding of the reverse gear). You should be able to fix it by removing the top cover and taking a long screwdriver and sliding the idler gear to the correct position. It is located on the driver side aft section of the case interior. In the future for cane removal, its best to put the trans in neutral and only remove the cane.
Edit: I see you removed it to modify the pin hole. Disregard the last sentence
