New highboy build

Hello, me and my dad just dragged a nicely patina , 100% rustfree 1970 f250 2wdout of a near by fealed and put a battery and fuel in it and drove it home for 600$. I also have a 77 highboy with a crap body, just want to know what's it gonna involve to put the 70 on the highboy frame , I plan on sand blasting frame and axles painting black and just clear the body.

As far as 70 body on a 77 frame....? I believe your HB rear section of the frame is going to be narrower. So maybe new bolt holes in the bed or weld some brackets to the frame to use the original bed holes.

Also the cab back side cross member might cause problems, it might have to be relocated for ir aft?. I would ask this question in the 76-72 forum also. 1967 - 1972 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

A tape measure will tale the tale. Also here is the standard FTE rule.

It can be done. Wheelbase is two inches shorter on early highboys. You can leave extra space between box and cab or fudge by moving cab back as far as possible and box ahead. This may shorten gap by one inch. Drill new holes in back of cab and box. Front cab mounts and rad support all line up. Some left side inner fender trimming will have to be done.
