Need some input from you guys, here is my issue, I removed the 10in lift from my 2001 F350 4X4 truck and 38in tires and went down to stock to pull my toy hauler easier up the grade. Kept overheating. So I decided to install a 3in leveling kit up front, thinking it would level my truck out. Well it didn't. Now, my question is, if I remove the 3.5in block to level it will it affect my drive line? Any other issues I might have? Thanks!
You should be able to see if the block in there right now is tapered, if so, you will need to replace it with a 1" tapered block. This will keep the proper angle for your pinion. I'm just not sure how the lifted rear springs sit on your truck. Bottom line is, you want to do your best to keep the drive line and pinion in line with each other.
Even from the factory there can be a 2-3" rake. There appears to be quite a bit of driveline angle leeway built into the trucks. I would be more concerned with how the truck sits loaded. You want to be level or rear high at maximum load. That is how I have set up all my lifts and have never had an issue

What leaf spring did u install in the front? There's no way the x code 6,000lb leaf doesnt have the front end up and level with the rear of you truck. Do u have stock rear springs installed or do u have add-a-leafs still from the lift you had?
Don't recall the brand up front but my rear leaf pack is the stock one. But the previous owner had installed the lift kit and replaced the stock 2 in block with a 4 in block. Hence my block removal question....
Well the f350 comes with a 3 1/2" block from the factory so a 1/2" bigger block is not going to make this much of a difference. Seems to me u either installed used worn out springs or u installed the lowest gvw spring ford offers for our trucks
They were the stock springs that came off the truck. My question is that if I remove this 3 1/2 in block and let the leaf springs sit on the plate welded to my axle will I have drive line issues?

Long or short box? Extended, regular or Crew cab?
Kept overheating.
What did you do to remedy this? What was overheating the cooling system or transmission? Which Engine do you have?

What is the spring code on your door? Information is found on the door frame tag. What is does the rear suspension consist of? Why a leveling kit for towing?

Short bed, crew cab.
Engine overheating, 7.3 diesel. Not overheating anymore since I took those 38in tires off.
Not too sure on the code, I'm at work, truck is at home. Leaf springs. I installed the leveling kit in the front to cure the sag it had.
Yes the block in the rear.
