The code I got was P0430 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold. Bank 2.
Are there any sensors before and after the cat?
No. Only thing electrical in the system is egr valve (in the intake) ebp sensor (tube coming out of exhaust manifold at the cylinder head) you also have a MAP hose from the intake to the map sensor. That's it.
And just to be clear the motor in your truck is a 6.0l DIESEL engine correct?
Not a gasser correct? If it were me I'd get an obdii adapter and phone app like torque pro or dash boss to run the codes.
I have an AE scan tool. When I get home after work tonight I will hook it up and do a scan. What could I live monitor for a proper narrowing down my issue?

Just off the top of my head look at EGR position, ebp, map, vgt.
Also the volts on those as well. The real code i would suspect myself would be p0401 maybe one's like that--anything dealing with airflow in or out. No expert for sure. Being you have a code that doesn't jive with a 6.0 it's all guess until you verify.

You don't HAVE an issue yet. No driveability concerns, one random longer start. CEL that doesn't match anything physically attached to the engine.
Check for stored codes with a better reader (AE) because the ScanGauge is a crappy code reader. If there's nothing else stored and there's just the random O2 sensor code, clear the codes and KAM. If nothing pops again, no issues.
HEADVIKING you never answered the "DO YOU HAVE A PSD" question. The PSD does not have an O2 sensor PERIOD! It has an Exhaust Back Pressure sensor that may or may not function depending on PCM software load. It has an EGR valve that is useless and causes more problems then it is worth. Most guys unplug it or get a tune to turn it and the CEL off. It has a CAT that is not monitored by the PCM and, therefore, cannot display the code you are talking about. There are no sensors installed in the PSD exhaust system that distinguish between left and right bank CATs. The exhaust comes straight out each manifold, goes to the turbo turbine via the infamous Y pipe that cracks and then to the CAT. Whatever you are smoking I'd give it up and stick with you avatar.
OK. Now I have it right. I am aware that we do not have 02 sensor. Yes I do have the PSD. The code that I got a couple days ago was retrieved using my scangauage (I will be replacing it). The code was P0430. Thats what was so confusing and maybe I was asking the wrong questions. I should have been asking where the $%^#$ did this code come from. This afternoon at lunch I pulled out my AE an got a stored code P0341 - Camshaft Sensor. I cleared the code just before the laptop battery gave me a 10% warning. I will wait and see if the CEL (code) comes back.
Quick question how difficult to change one and if anyone knows the part number, thanks for everyones help. By the way Rusty was pretty close - would have done better pulling the code using a potato.
I like the ScanGauge, I ride with one all the time except for short periods when I loan it out. I just don't mess with the code reading part at all. It mislead me a couple of times...
Camshaft sensor is on the lower front driver's side of the block, above and somewhat behind the powersteering pump. Locate it and check the connector to see if it's damaged, dirty or loose. You can get to the pigtail by taking out the intake.
Book says pull the pump to replace, but I don't think you absolutely have to to get it out. 8mm on a long extension up through the wheel well if you pull the liner out, or are contortionist enough to thread it up from the bottom.
