I have a 1999 F 250 SD V10 and I replaced the one sensor that I could find and still had the code I think P1034. A few days later I found the other sensor and it was barely hanging on with a couple threads. I took the one I replaced and put it in the place of this one and still have the same code. Do these things go bad easily? I think I should try to put the old one back in. I hate to waste $60!!!
I only see two sensors. My exhaust is cut off at the cat. The two sensors are at the manifolds and thats the only ones I have. The code did say bank one????
well for your truck there should be 3, 1 on each side of the exhaust pipe from each bank and 1 behind the cat.
also they can be a regular oxy sensor or they can be heated too

hmm arent there typically others beyond the cat? or right before? Bear in mind that a computer will always flag a O2 sensor if it senses fault in the things it helps control. Vacume leaks can cause lean conditions which intern will flag one for ex. All the gas burners ive been exposed to have one before or after the cat as well. But ive only worked diesels post 96..

Hello, I have a 2001 F-250 V10. When I bought it the previous owner removed the Cat. I only have the 2, O2 sensors just below the manifolds. Last week I had a Cat put back on my truck. I then went to the ford dealership to find out where the 3rd O2 sensor hooks up to. According to them My truck does not have an O2 sensor behind the Cat. Just the 2 below the manifolds. So your truck might not have 3.
