Was on here years ago, but haven't posted in a good 7-8 years, so starting from scratch so to speak.
Original owner of a 94 Splash, and am having issues the HVAC system. Temp works fine as I can get all the cold or hot air needed. Issue is with the Top slide function slide.
I can get it to move into the panel/floor, floor, floor/defrost and defrost positions no problems, and the AC functions as it should.
Problem is these 2 issues: I can almost get it completely into the Panel selection/spot, still get air just not what it should be. What I can't do is get the lever to go back into the MAX AC position at all.
Trying to search everything I am finding is for blend door issues and I don't think that is the problem.
I'm thinking I have a binding cable but before I start tearing into it I thought I would check and see if anyone has suggestions. truck is a 4.0 and does have AC if any of that matters.
Behind the center dash panel where the radio and HVAC controls are located is a "box" which the levers of the HVAC panel are connected. There may be a broken "arm" on one of the connector that are connected to the level on the panel. Which requires removing the panel on the dash board to determine if it broken or not. Repair? good question, on my B2300/Ranger I do have a broken lever and have a similar set of leaks.
