On my way into work this morning, all the warning lights came on, along with the check engine wrench. My display was showing that I was overheating and the gauges stopped working. While this was happening, there was no noticeable change in the way the truck was performing.
After about a minute or two, the warning lights shut off and the gauges worked again as normal. The gauges did not show that the truck was overheating at that time. Another few minutes went by and the same thing happened again. Then the gauges came on and the warning lights shut off for the second time, it did not happen again for my 10 minute ride to work. On my way home this evening, this did not happen again.
The truck seems to be charging and the battery seems to holding a large as well. The truck is a 2015 F350 XLT 6.2 with about 9700 miles on it. Can someone shed some light on this issue?
Check the harness connection attached to the parking brake bracket. It comes loose. If you would shut the truck off when that happens it won't start. It won't show codes either. Look in the 6.2 section, thread bad pcm relay.

this is probably the cause. Pop the big connector off the parking brake bracket and zip tie it to something else or just let it hang. Ford must have had a bunch of complaints because I guess the harness is in a different location on the '16s.
Actually, before you do anything take it to the dealer. More confirmed cases of it the better it is for everyone. Check that thread in the 6.2 section; it's a common problem. Super easy fix too. Pull the connection off the parking brake bracket and zip tie it up. The using the brake and releasing it vibrates the connection. If you can get the dealer to see it act up it will help us all down the road since it's happening quite often.

Hi dirty1,
I'd definitely get this into the hands of your dealer so it can be documented and diagnosed. Also, I'll loop in your regional customer service manager. To make that happen, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.
Warranty on a new truck, the last thing I do is monkey with it. I paid for the warranty, ford is going to fix it. To top it off my monkeying might deny warranty coverage.

Good luck with that, when it happened to mine the dealer it was towed to told me to get lost. Most people one here got tired of being stranded or their dealer zip tied the harness up as well.
Thanks for the leads in the right direction. I did not pull any codes, as I have not set up my scangauge yet. I will check out the thread in the 6.2 section.
That happened to me in my 2015 f350 and I followed the steps here and now it works. Removed wiring harness from brake bracket zip tied it higher and truck started right up. Cel was still on but showed no codes so I hooked up scanner shut the light off. Hopefully it stays good.
