I do not work on Fords very much and cannot Id this part. I found it on the passenger floor. It looks like a position sensor, but that is my wag. It looks like it has not been hooked up fo awhile. The grounds and the niipple do not show any recent wear.
I hope someone can tell me what it is and where it goes. Is it even needed or I can just put it on a shelf?
That is for the electric choke, it goes on the passenger side of the carburetor, that spring on the inside heats up, and expands and contracts to open up and close the choke.
Thanks. Funny thing is the one on the carb looks worse then the one in my hand. I just do not work on carbs much anymore. I only have one vehicle with carbs, but they do not have chokes.
