2013 Expedition LED Conversion

Just converted to all LEDs (Including the Headlights). Here are some pictures.
Got most of the bulbs from Amazon but had some trouble finding the puddle lights.

I saw many instances where people had cut open the Ford OEM Puddle Lights (part number 3F1Z-13B375-AA) and had replaced the bulb with and LED. I was able to find a place that makes OEM type replacements with LEDs. You can see them here.

Looks good! Do you have the bulb numbers for the reverse lights?

Awesome, thanks! I assume these really light things up behind you while backing up?

Also, did you replace the driving/fog lights with LED's too?

Take a look at this photo again for comparison

LED on near side and standard bulb on far side.

I did the whole truck inside and out with the exception of the high back brake light. The design of that light requires a bulb that is EXACTLY the same dimensions of the incandescent bulb and I haven't found an LED that was made that way yet.

Here's a list of everything I bought along with notes for where they go:

The ones I used for the Fog lamps are "plasma" LEDs and I'm not sure that they really hit the focal point of the reflector as well as a point source light. I may change them to a different type...still debating...

Ah, missed that. Way brighter on the backup bulbs. I have done all interior bulbs and license plate bulbs. Next prob. backup, tail light.

Thanks again for the info.

What were the 'slight mods' you mention on the Amazon list for the headlight bulbs? Also if I'm reading this correctly, they are 6K out of the box but come with a film to alter the output color. Did you leave them stock or film them?

How did the LED headlights affect the drl's. I found a set I would like to get for my 2008 Expy and they said not to use if you have drl's. The kit is from Vled.com
