Seems like I've read this before on this forum, someone was talking about how his marker bulbs were amber and he wanted clear ones. I remember telling him how my bulbs were clear. Well I actually looked and - yup they're amber alright.
Anyway, back to now. It would appear that both of my marker lights burned out. Now when I go to find the replacement bulbs, Sylvania, the bulbs are clear.
A couple of questions.
1) The triangular lights above the front turn signals and next to the headlights on a 2000 Ranger are called 'marker lights' correct?
2) The bulbs are supposed to be amber correct?
3) When do these lights come on? What do they even do? I can't seem to figure out what purpose they serve.
4) Do I have to replace them with amber lights, or will the Sylvania, replacement bulbs suffice. Wouldn't you know it I left the bulbs in the truck so I can't get the product number that was specified - something xxxxLL.
3) These lights come on with the first click of the headlight switch, not positive, but I think they're supposed to define the edges of your vehicle for night driving.
I would think the clear ones would do fine because they shine through an amber lense.
