Ok guys so i was wondering if anyone has replaced there tail lights/reverse lights/ cornering lights with LED Bulbs. I'm not into the whole clear euro lights that some people put on there trucks but i was wondering if anyone has tried just the replacemnt bulbs. I would love to have the quick response as well as the added brightness brought on by the LED lights.

At the same time in not interested if it will only make my truck look like a ricer.

Any one tried the bulbs, or anyone have an opinion on the idea?

 

I don't like the law hassel about clear lights . Im like you would like to keep stock set up and have brighter led's . I was checking on net tonight to see whats out there. All I've seen on Ebay is back up lights. Good luck

 

I have tried a set of bulbs in my 78 Bronco, and they were not as bright as the 1157 bulbs that were in there. They just twisted in like a standard bulb and had 15 elements (Leds) in each one. I think they make them with more than that. Wish someone would come up with a full lense type.

 

I've looked around and I have seen a bunch of different types out there. "5851a" what kind/brand did you get so that i know not to get them if they aint bright.

 

Sorry it was a couple of years ago don't know the brand, bought them off ebay. I see now some of the bulbs are a wide angle type that might be better. The bulbs I have are about the same size as the opening in the lens and I don't see how you could get a much bigger bulb in there. Just look up LED bulbs on ebay, hundreds of them.
