Very cool, and again, very clean installation there!
Are you doing anything with the hollow space under the new front "bin" in front of the folding console top? How much space is there under there?
I love the ARB fridge/ice cream cooler, but I can't afford to give up that much real estate in ours.
The white structure is the support core for the ouster console skins. the bin pretty much sits on the white core. if you look close you can see where a screw attaches the bin to the core in the center. I will cut right behind that mount.
I have marked a section in green that will be cut out to give easy access to the wiring I will be installing. waiting on a fuse block I ordered to start that phase of the project.
I think it was a 99 but have seen the same basic console in much newer navi and expeditions. Not sure on what the actual model years had that style but they are abundant.
These are awesome builds guys! The big wide one with the radios already in it has me thinking. I like the "factory" from another vehicle look though.
I want to use the extra space that's "dead" under all the plastic. Right now I have probably 10 DVD's in there. I'm looking at adding a DVD player, amp, Hard drive, etc in the rear of the console for the rear entertainment. But...with the space farther forward, add my CB, multiple cubbies for DVD's and then MY stuff, a couple cup holders, Inverter, etc...
Now you guys add in more ideas.... PERFECT! Just what I was looking for!
Didn't build it, repurposed it from a Lincoln Navigator ( along with the rear bucket seats )
I put an inverter under mine and am still building the new panel that will house usb ports, 120v outlets, and a usb plug into to the entertainment system.
Edit.... Trying to upload a few pics buy my internet is wonky.... Anyhow... This was during test fitting and rebuilding it.... You get the idea
I like that switch panel you have just at the edge of the picture. Did you score a good price on that? Where did you find them? I've only seen that style in boats or Western Star semi's, and they are about 10 times more expensive than the normal switches.

They are Carling Switches and yes they can get spendy but if you keep a sharp eye on ebay you can do ok on them.
Ebay has plenty of Chi-com knockoffs as well. ( I have never got one so I can't vouch for the quality but I would be willing to try one )
where the carling switches get a bit overwhelming is all the options but a simple on off switch that illuminates when on is pretty straight forward.
if you google or search ebay for carling actuator or contrura ll you will see all the options for colors, engravings and what not.
the panel itself is the modular carling panel which consist of 2 end pieces and however many middles you need to make your panel. I just ordered a 6 switch set from china 2 days ago for $8.00 lol , so we will see how they compare to the real carling ones but i expect it will be fine for my console.

I guess I didn't directly answer your question,
I bought those and much of my wiring supplies from waytekwire.com or delcity.net
So, I just made a deal on some tan center console(s) from a 01 Lincoln Navigator. I will be pulling them from the vehicle this Friday or Saturday. Only paying $100, which from what I can tell is a screaming deal!
I have an expedition console in mine. I bought it that way so i don't know what year it came out of but i think it is newer than 03. There are pictures of it in my photos:
Looking at these FoMoCo consoles, it looks like the dash cupholders are rendered useless? I see there's a tiny bit of clearance for them to pull out, but they have that drop base that lowers as you open it - is there any room for that to actually work still?
I know the new consoles have their own cupholders so it doesn't matter, but if the dash ones become obsolete and un-usable, that space could be reallocated to CB radio or similar storage once the stock cupholders are removed, right?

I never use those cup holders, so I love the idea of repurposing the space!
