Hello You guys are great for this kind of ****. Anyone know how disable my door chime with the key in and in the ACC positon on a 2015 F350 Super Duty 6.7L. I did pull the blue wire with gray tracer to get rid of the key in chime. I want to use my truck for a radio when i am in the field
I know on my F150 I could use my finger to move the lever in the door latch assembly to shut off the chime. Moving the lever to the closed position (as if the door was closed) should shut off the chime.
The door latch thing works but it is something you would have to do everytime you open the door. I too use the truck radio on the job, I ended up putting tape over the chime speaker. Everything is now silent including the blinkers.....

where is that speaker? that is the logical fix for obnoxious ford door chimes but I've not been able to locate where sound comes from.
thanks in advance

Located on the back side of the instrument cluster (green tape). I also put a little piece of cotton ball in the speaker before I taped it. You can't hear anything. The only odd part is the silent blinker. After a week I am getting used to that though.
