Door Chime - Part Two
I did the key in ignition door chime disable (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...oor-chime.html) but I like to leave the driver's side door open to listen to the radio while I work outside of the truck. The door chime still chimes when the door is open and ignition is in on position. I started fooling with the door and found that if you close the door latch while the door is open (I use a pen and push the latch in simulating the door latching on the striker on the door post) the chime stops. Just be careful not to slam the door closed and break the latch. My next move will be to remove the door panel and install a switch to accomplish the same thing without having to physically close the latch.
