'79 Ford to Chevy Transmission

So question for you experienced folks....
On a 1979 SWB F100 302 with headers and converted to a Chevy transmission, what modified bell housing should be used or what needs to be used to cover the gear and torque converter?????
Any help is helpful! Thank you in advance!

Huh? Why would you put a Chevy tranny behind a Ford?

I know that places like JW make scattershield bellhousings for powerglides, and they make them for different makes as an adapter.

whatever the transmission is, get the stock piece that bolts up to it and modify it or use it as a pattern for a shop or a friend/family-member to fabricate one for you if you cannot fabricate

Yeah, a "speed shop" has been doing all the work and fabbing everything up, but for some reason we can't get everything to work right...

That looks like a th 700 trans, if so make sure you get geometry of the TV cable linkage on the carb correct, it is very critical.

They are likely getting the parts from transmission adapters.com. I would rather go a Ford AOD which an adapter is available for rather than put GM stuff on it. Not that I don't like some GM products but they don't belong on a Ford.
