Looking good.
My comp. does have a shut off switch but is hard to get to. It is under the motor.
I did not know it was there till I was tracking down wires for how to wire it up.
Because of not knowing and hard to get to I mounted a fused disconnect switch out front where you car get to it.

This is the junction box where the feed splits to go both directions:

I had to use the split nuts to splice it with. Standard wire nuts are only good up to 2 -#6 AWG wires and I needed 2 #6 and a #10.

Here is how the split nuts have to be taped:

The ground has the first coat which is a product that sort of looks and acts like paper making tape, but is actually called varnish tape. The second is a rubber tape and the last is just 33 electrical tape and lots of it.

My tape job doesnt look as pretty as a professionals. However, it is functional and applied to where it does the job correctly.

By the way, two questions:
  • You've seen that I was successful on the crimper?
  • Any news on the tranny?

It may be done. I havent heard from anybody yet. I didnt have any visiting time the last couple of weekends. So I have not seen James or Scotty. James did call and say the parts showed up. He also said he was going to run them by the shop. I am sure he did or he would have called and asked if I could run them down there.

It very well could have gotten built this weekend. I will check for an update tomorrow.

Ideal makes a wirenut line called Mudbug (they are for use underground) and the Gray one handles 2 #6 + 1 #10.

We used to use some kind of toxic 'winter oil' in our tools.
It was labeled as a potent carcinogen.

Skip, First you have to start with dry air. There is some talk of how to do this in this post but in short cool the air the water will condense and when trapped you can then drain it out.
I use fin tube copper pipe to cool the air and drain legs to trap water all home made.
Worked pretty good at my other garage and see no reason why it will not work as good or better (more room to work) in my new garage.

Because I do body work I can not use anything that would go thru the air piping or hoses and contaminate the air supply. I add lube at the tool as needed, fish eye killer if body sanders.

yani should put my condensate filter back on i guess. just runing rubber hose regulator attached to tank now, winter is superdry, its just the cool air goes into compressor pistons and thats where the change to moist air comes in.

Really?????

Air does not (can not) gain humidity in the cylinder.
Pressure heats the air and when it cools (under pressure) moisture condenses, because air -under pressure- cannot support the same amount of vapor that it can at atmospheric pressure.

look into the relationship between dew point and bars.
