I saw a set of black lighted ones on an OBS expedition(or what ever they call that generation of expeditions) I think the black lighted was an option on them. They looked just like the ones in the pictures above.

just another option to look into. They may be shorter, who knows

You could try painting them with black bedliner, anti slip built in!

I'm looking for a set of black ones also, in the mean time I cleaned the ones I got and rubbed them down real good with rubbing alcohol. Painted them with flat textured black and so fare holding up really well.
