I too have the beige ones on mine and wanted black, I just taped off the lower half of the truck and sprayed them with black bedliner. Looks good I think.
Edit: I taped off the lights too, of course. Just clean them well and spray them with bedliner or undercoating.

Thats about all I have. It seems to be holding up fine. But I really kind of did a halfass job, and then I went and stepped on the driver side one before it was fully dry! So Its a little messed up, but I can just spray a little more over it. Really glad I did it though, the black does look a lot better.

Doom...If you find a black pair I would be interested in your current set. The dealer I bought mine from swapped the running boards and tow mirrors from mine to another Ex on the lot. So no lights for me. I like the black and would just find a means to change the color.
Maybe I am not seeing the difference in those pics but it looks like you already have the style of boards you want ? Looks like you just need to do a color change.
