That does not seem that warm to me.
Mine will was pushing 110 the other morning in that time frame. Ambient that morning was around 4*.
I can watch the garage lights dim just a tad to confirm if the timer is working. These elements to pull a good amount. IIRC over 10A?
At any rate, it's still worth it in fuel savings but more importantly wear and tear.
My time frame my be off a touch. When I plugged in last night around midnight, it showed 132*f this morning. Doesn't get 4* here. Should be about 15 tonight with a nasty wind chill.
So the EGR cooler hose IS leaking? Crap. When you had it off several weeks ago for the HPOP the o-ring inside must have gotten something between it and the tube. Sorry. B.
If you have a residential electric meter on your house watch it as you plug the heater in or have some else plug it in while you watch it, the little wheel will take a noticeable jump in rpms with the heater plugged in and working or......buy a $14.00 dollar temp gun from amazon (

You got me. I put that blue hose on less than a year ago. Little bugger is leaking again. What gives man.
Had that leak shortly after doing my egr cooler a couple years ago. I ended up cutting the stock goofy blue hose and replacing it with some blue silicone hose with two hose clamps. You have to remove the intercooler pipe from the turbo to get in there, and it's kind of a pain getting the hose and clamp on the egr cooler pipe under the turbo pedestal but doable. Can't remember if I removed the fitting the hose attaches to on the oil cooler housing, but for some reason i think I did. Pretty sure it was 5/8 hose.

It's a good reason to make sure the hose clamps are facing as such upon installation that if you need to do this it can be done without taking a bunch of other stuff off.
Not sure how spending 15 minutes changing that hose out this way is "rolling the dice" but compared to an ipr gen 2 delete kit it will cost at least $250 dollars less and save hours of work.
