After all that time waiting for the cam kit, handed it to my engine builder at 2:30 pm on Thursday and at 3:15 Friday he called me to let me know the motor was finished! I will pick it up Monday, but a big thank you to Barry at Precision Crankshaft in Jacksonville for the quick work and all the help.
Today we worked on the wifeys truck and went to National Parts Depot. got carpet and a instrument cluster back plate for her and radiator support mounts and cab mounts for me. So nice to be able to just drive some place like that to pick up your parts.
I'm enjoying sitting back and watching your build, it's looking good.
I'll be making the trip to NPD too, probably next week to pick up some things for the Pumpkin.
You're right, it's nice to be able to take a short drive (in my case about 90 miles one way) and pick up the parts.

Its been an adventure. If the damned weather stays clear I will be able to get this frame coated. I am hitting the Spring Turkey run in Daytona this weekend. hoping I can pick up my brake lines and fuel lines while I am there as well as some FE goodies for the missus.

I love going to npd, it's only about an hour ride depending on traffic.
Tired of this, sunny all week, rain all weekend crap.
Got my engine painted, the intake, timing cover and water pump mounted. Figured out my dizzy hits my intake and lost my crank bolt. All in all, I guess it was an OK weekend. Lol
That is one purdy looking engine you got there. Any ideas on the power and torque you are expecting out of this beast?
From what I have read, this motor made 140HP stock. With the shaved GT40 heads, bigger cam, intake, 4 bbl, headers and increased compression, I am hoping to be around 280HP and 300 ft.lbs..
Is that a summit HEI? I ran one of their HEI dizzys with a weiand stealth intake on a 302. It was tight but fit. I had to clock the dizzy a certain way and there wasn't a lot of room for adjustment
