Next time I do this, I will either have the frame sand blasted or blast it myself. This wire wheel crap is for the birds.
Looks freakin good!! Yea, I did the whole underneath of my truck in full hazmat gear with a grinder and discs and wire wheel and metal brushes. It took me a month to do it, working hours upon hours a day and took another a week after that before I could really move right again. I'll never do that again..lol

I've been to sculpture exhibitions that didn't look this good to me. I can just imagine the art cognoscenti speculating as to what it all means. It's beautiful to my eyes.

LOL... thanks. I think the meaning should be, "This jackass could have had it sandblasted and powder coated for $600, but instead worked 12 hours a day Saturday and Sunday alongside his wife to do it at home and save a buck!" LMFAO
Oh good lord, that stuff is miserable to remove. I helped redo a frame on a triumph spitfire when I was a younger man and we damn near cut the frame in half in a couple places trying to remove that crap. Your frame came out great though. Now go and recoat it..haha

Just think of it as "family bonding" and "quality time" spent together. So couple the $600 with the future money saved from marriage counseling and I'd say it was money well saved.
Well, it's been awhile. Got a new job and didn't have much time off, but things have settled down at work. As it currently sits, the suspension is on the frame, rear end is painted and awaiting installation. I ordered a bunch of stuff for the truck, new Champion aluminum radiator, shroud and electric fans from Jegs, Flowtech headers, Cherry Bomb glass packs, Wheelsmith steelies, CVF pulleys and brackets, Inline Tubes stainless brake and fuel lines, new gas tank from NPD with new straps... And probably some other things I'm not thinking of. Everything is here now, so final assembly has begun. Truck is going to sit in flat black paint for the rest of the year till I put up the cash to get her painted by a pro. Will post pics tonight.
