I got myself in a pickle. Picked a local shop to repair and reface the round speedo and associated instruments. Also, re chrome the metal bezel. I wont bore you with the details but the guy still has the cluster a year later and i cant get it back. He has half my money as well. Stupid on my part. I thought everyone in the Midwest was honest. He's a real mess or a crook. Either way, does anyone have a full three hole cluster and metal bezel in decent shape for a 1966 F250 4x4 custom cab? I believe the same clusters were installed in: 1965 F100/250 4WD, 1966 F250 4WD, 1965/66 F350/1100 Custom Cabs have a round speedo with a chrome steel instrument cluster. (from Number Dummy).

Probably a transplant. We won't claim him. Who is it anyway, others may want to decide if they are worth dealing with. Must be a lot tougher to be a ****ty business in the internet age!
If nobody here has one available I'm sure you've seen them pop up on that auction site fairly regular like.
Remember that although it is chromed they did paint over the chrome on much of the bezel with argent silver and around the ALT and OIL gauges with black. You can see the chrome looking up under the top edge and around the perimeter and around each gauge opening. And anywhere the argent gets scratched off, as well. These are original 1966 F250 4x4 Custom Cabs.
I believe a person could go so far as to find a painted bezel for a standard cab, drill the extra 2 3/16" holes for the AMP and OIL gauges, get it chromed and paint it argent silver in the middle portions and black around the ALT and OIL gauges and it would be tough to distinguish from this.
But, I'm sure you can find something closer to correct. Just an example of the extreme.
Custom Cab chromed steel cluster (C9TZ-10876-F [replaced C1TZ-10876-A]) will also be found in: 1961/64 F100/250 2WD/4WD, 1961/66 F350/1100, 1963/69 N/NT/T500/1000, 1967/69 F800/1000. (per ND) - I don't see any available NOS.
You mean the Dakota digitals? I thought the 61-64 F100 versions look strange. The Bronco versions (should fit in our trucks) look OK, see below, but they want close to ~ $800 w/ shipping. A little spendy for my POS. A clean restomod might be OK with that.
Really P**ses me off when it comes to supporting local businesses and then getting punked. Unless there are underlying issues; and considering the cost of finding a replacement, I would not let the shop owner off that easily. I would start a document trail by insisting the shop provide a written statement describing the issue involve in the delay in returning the cluster, then determine if the matter can be mediated. If not, I would contact an attorney, inquire the cost of writing a letter of intent in taking legal action, and any cost would be included in the action. The attorney should be able to receive a response then make sure it's stipulated you will decide whether to take action??
So on this same topic. I have a gauge cluster that is not very accurate and was wondering if anyone new of a place where I can get it refurbished and re-calibrated. Is it worth it or should I buy a new one? There are a few cool ones online but they want like $800 or more for them.
