I'm getting ready to sell my 2005 Excursion EB PSD and looking for some input on what I should price it at. Lots of mods done, wanted to make sure I didn't break down on the side of the road and have the power to tackle big hills with 13k on the trailer. It currently has about 190k on it. We went full time in a travel trailer last year and are currently upgrading to a new motor home so no need for the truck.

While its hard to value an ex with all those mods, you can only get what someone looking for those mods is willing to pay for it. Im thinking its worth about 15k-17k while the engine mods are nice you're creeping up on 200k and most folks are scared of 6.0's as it is.
Here is a similar comp.... a 05 with engine mods. He started at $17k back in October, and he's down to $15k now. You appear to have more mods than his though.
Id start at 20k obo and take what you consider a reasonable offer. I bet that thing sings at 70mph with 4.30 gears. In my mind that would be a no go with fuel mpgs being lower unless you were towing heavy alot that is. Worst case you can come off the asking price if it dosent sell.
While many of those mods are similar to mods that I would make, I tend to shy away from other people's mods. That external oil cooler is a minus to me. I'm actively in the market for an Excursion, but I think I'd pass on yours for the prices you're looking for.
Different people value different things, so don't use me as an example.
i don't think 190k miles is super high but its high enough to hurt your price. i think you would sit on it a long time at 15k i think i would price it around 14k and expect to take 12-13k for it. jmo
i think the 4.30's will also likley hurt resale i think most people in the market for a excursion would be turned off by that. unless there going to want to jack it up and put huge tires on it. i think its too much gear even for a 13k lb trailer.
i would love to say i think its worth a lot more. but many people shy away from 6.0's to start then a lot more would shy away from almost 200k miles and more would shy away from such deep gears so i think your audience on that truck will be fairly small. if you can sit on it a while id ask higher than you think that you can get for it and see what happens, might happen to find the person that is looking for that exact setup and willing to pay for it.

I feel the same way. When I bought my 2004 6ohL I wanted it ALL stock. The same goes for the 2006 6ohL I have now (w/ the exception of the larger tires and leveling).
Different Powerstrokes for different folks, I guess
Sadly, I agree. Yet, there are all these used car lots (trying to) sell lifted pickups at insanely high (asking) prices. Look at all the PSD Excursions listing for > $25k online...
Personally with my Ex, I know the brakes, alternator, FICM, and BPD system where installed correctly and have been working great. BUT, as a buyer, I'd be skeptical as to why then I am selling if all the things I added are so wonderful? Plus, having to worry about the BPD hose springing a leak and spraying oil on the exhaust manifold and causing a fire 'might' happen.. as could a meteor hit it.

This was my thoughts.......why sell a vehicle that is in PERFECT condition.?
