Some background info-
2001 F250 S/D 5.4 auto tranny single cab.
Truck was flooded, i believe to the roof, maybe went into a river? I bought it as is.
We replaced fuse panel, gem, all relays and fuses and flushed diffs, tranny, engine, and t-case. We also replaced radio and relays behind it. Replaced the ignition switch and cluster as well. We cleaned most of the connectors out with compressed air. This truck runs fine, almost perfect.
Symptoms-
Windows dont work unless i wait 22 seconds, then the truck beeps, and door ajar light comes on and then the windows work. Windows dont work in acc. mode but the radio does. I also get this code B1359 ignition run/acc circuit fault. Wont go into 4X4 unless i wait the 22 seconds, along with the washer fluid pump.
Causes-
Clueless, any help is appreciated, even if its barely related.
May still have moisture somewhere causing an intermittent short. If it is the ignition switch try spraying some wd -40 into the assy. before removing it. If it has already been submerged I don't think it would hurt to try, you would be surprised how it can displace moisture. I had a few drops of water in the trim switch on the throttle assy. on my boat and every now and then I would find one of the motors trimmed all the way up on the lift. I just cleaned it out and sprayed some wd-40 into the assy and it has been fine since. Could be moisture or corrosion in the wiring harness connectors also.
Im not sure if you have to join autozone website to view this, but its free to join if you have to. I found a picture of the switch with some brief description. Its enough to go on for now.
Man, if the truck was submerged it could be anything. maybe you should bring it to a shop that has dealt with that if you can find one. That is the bad thing about a flood it ruins everything, in a house too.
I mean its drivable and stuff and if people don't mind the 22 second wait then its good, but its more of an inconvenience. Trying figure it out. If i cant itll have to do the way it is. Just trying to find something that will get me closer, like wiring diagrams and supplied voltages and stuff.
if it is a delay but still works I would guess low voltage to the computer or malfunctioning computer.i know it is a long shot but did you try resetting the computer by disconnecting the power?
