No REVERSE!!!

I have a 2007 F350 Fx4 and the other day on my way home I got down on it a little bit and when I did it down shifted and then didn't want to shift back. It felt like it was stuck in 2nd. Then the tow/haul light started flashing. About a min after it started shifting fine. I got home and went to leave about 20 min later and it wouldn't go into reverse. It just felt like it was in neutral. It has suncoast internals so idk why it would act up. Anyone have any ideas?

did you check the level of the transmission fluid?.. is it RED or dark.... easy stuff First.

Then check codes. When the tow/haul light flashed codes were stored. You need the codes to find out what's wrong.

Get it scanned by a code reader that can specifically read transmission codes. Most of the free scans offered at the local parts stores cannot do this.
